Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-02-22

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Clipp Chrome extension or visiting clipp.pro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clipp.

2. Description of service

Clipp is a Chrome extension that captures, organizes, and compiles text clips from web pages. A free tier provides basic clip capture and raw compile. A paid Pro tier unlocks additional compile modes and integrations.

3. Accounts and billing

Pro features require an active paid subscription managed through Stripe. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.

4. User content

Clips you capture and compile are your content. Clipp stores clips locally in your browser profile. When you use AI compile mode, clip content is sent to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI or Anthropic) and is subject to that provider's terms. Clipp does not claim ownership of your content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer or tamper with the extension or backend services; use Clipp to violate any applicable law; attempt to access other users' data or billing accounts; resell or redistribute Clipp without permission.

6. Third-party services

Clipp integrates with third-party services (Stripe for billing, OpenAI and Anthropic for AI features). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Clipp is not responsible for third-party service availability or conduct.

7. Availability and changes

Clipp is provided as-is. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in advance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clipp and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost revenue, or interruption of service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Clipp if you violate these terms. You may stop using Clipp at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling any active subscription.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
