Clipp is a Chrome extension designed to be local-first for captured clips and settings.
Clips, project metadata, compile preferences, and extension settings are stored in your browser profile.
Clipp only sends data to services you configure, such as your billing API and optional AI providers for AI compile mode.
AI API keys are stored in extension local storage and used only for your selected provider.
Clipp does not sell your personal data. When AI compile mode is used, selected clip content is sent to the AI provider you configured (OpenAI or Anthropic). Your use of that provider is subject to their terms and privacy policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Because Clipp stores clips locally in your browser, you can exercise these rights directly: view clips in the extension, delete them individually, or clear all data by uninstalling the extension. For billing data processed by Stripe, contact support@clipp.pro and we will assist within 30 days. Our legal basis for processing billing data is contractual necessity (providing the service you subscribed to).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Clipp does not sell personal information. The only personal data we process is billing information managed by Stripe. To exercise your rights, contact support@clipp.pro.
Clips remain in your browser until removed by compile cleanup, manual deletion, or uninstalling the extension. Billing records are retained by Stripe per their data retention policy. We do not maintain a separate copy of your billing data beyond what is needed to verify your subscription status.
Clipp is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Billing communication is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Webhook signatures are verified to prevent tampering. Clips are stored locally and never transmitted to Clipp servers.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version. If we make material changes, we will update the extension listing and this page.
